A little about me…

Before transitioning into Product and UX Design, I was already practicing many of its principles in my first role as an interactive graphic designer in advertising. I was constantly asking the “why” behind campaigns, trying to understand the motivations and themes that influence human decision-making. I paid close attention to details like color, contrast, font size legibility and call-to-action tap targets before I knew formal accessibility standards like WCAG existed.

Hello!

By the end of 2015, I discovered product design as a profession. Several months later, I pursued my first role in Product and UX, while maintaining my freelance graphic design practice.

With a degree in graphic design, I understood the power of uniting form and function. My visual experiments during my studies were heavily inspired by midcentury Swiss-Bauhaus design principles.

So, naturally, my curiosity pushed me further. I wanted to fully comprehend the intersection of technology, interaction design, cross-functional collaboration, and human behavior. I attended UX conferences and workshops, sought out mentors, and absorbed as much knowledge as I could in those first years of my UX career.

By 2019, I moved from Chicago to Austin, TX, where I started a new role as a UI/UX Designer at a tech startup known as SpaceCraft, a web and blog CMS. In 2020, SpacCraft was acquired by Madwire, a tech and marketing consulting startup based in Colorado that built its own CRM tool optimized for SMBs.

It was at Madwire where my skills deepened, took ownership of my own products, was promoted to senior product designer and rolled up my sleeves in user research and process refinement.

Outside of work, I’ve volunteered across the globe, designed websites for non-profits, and applied my unique skills where it was needed the most.

I’m grateful for the path that led me to this juncture of my creative career. Much of it came from staying open-minded, curious, and optimistic about the future, even during uncertain and challenging moments.

I hope my story has inspired you to pursue something you’ve always been fascinated by! Outside of my work, you can find me painting, sipping tea, curled up with a good book, or going on strolls with my dog.
